De când era mică îi plăcea să cante şi să danseze, manifestându-şi talentul la doar cinci ani. Familia, dar mai ales bunicul apreciindu-i calităţile vocale i-a adus in dar o pianină dar şi un profesor, şi astfel incepe evoluţia ei muzicală.

A absolvit Şcoala Populară de Artă, secţia canto, la clasa prof. Ioan Ona care i-a şi compus prima ei piesă. Acolo i-a avut colegi pe Bogdan Negroiu ( El Negro) Monica Mândrescu( Moni-k) Irina Nicolae ( Asia ).

La 11 ani participă la preselecţia festivalului „Steaua Prahovei”, interpretând melodia Sandei Ladoşi „ Când vine seara” primind aprecieri din partea juriului, neputând insă intra in concurs datorită vârstei.

In 1997 inregistrează a doua melodie compusă de Dinu Giurgiu „O noapte se transformă in zi” cu care participă la emisiunea „ Feriţi-vă de măgăruş” alături de actorul Eugen Cristea.

La 14 ani naistul Cătălin Târcolea compune primul ei album cu 9 piese, promovând melodia „Timpul meu” printr-un videoclip in emisiunea „Meridianele Cântecului” la Tele 7 Abc.

Doi ani mai târziu, infiinţează o trupă, alături de o colega de liceu inregistrând al doilea ei album. Au urmat numeroase concerte şi apariţii Tv astfel că in anul 2004 au participat la „Festivalul Internaţional de interpretare Fiffizano Italia” unde au primit menţiune specială din partea juriului.

În paralel cu activitatea ei muzicală, Russian Girl a terminat Facultatea de Drept Din Braşov.
Deşi a mai fost implicată in alte proiecte artistice, care nu s-au finalizat insa, a visat mereu să cânte solo.
Anul 2010 i-a implinit acest vis cu un nou proiect dance club, un sound russian minimal tech. Crush insemna Radu si Sorin. Cei doi semneaza muzica si versurile majoritatii pieselor de album. Mutati de putina vreme in Bucuresti, Radu si Sorin si-au pus bazele propriului studio, chiar la ei in apartament. Muzica este pasiunea celor doi astfel încât cei doi au petrecut ore în studio pentru a definitiva albumul.

Radu Cernautan, un Taur adevarat, are 24 de ani si este student al Academiei de Studii Economice, sectia Management. A facut cursuri de chitara si pian si considera muzica drept scopul lui in viata.

Sorin Seniuc isi contrazice zodia, Berbec, fiind un tip calm si sensibil. A absolvit electronica iar printre pasiunile sale se numara plimbarile si filmele.

Alexandra Ungureanu este un Capricorn ambitios si tenace care de mica si-a dorit sa sa cante. Alexandra este un nume cunoscut iubitorilor de muzica si datorita colaborarilor cu Paula Seling, Sistem si Holograf. Desi foarte tanara, Alexandra si-a castigat respectul colegilor din muzica datorita talentului nativ, dar si a modestiei. Absolventa a Academiei de Studii Economice, Alexandra a terminat la inceputul anului acesta si masterul Universitatii de Orleans, “DESS – Finante si control de gestiune’.

Albumul CRUSH + ALEXANDRA UNGUREANU, este un album la care s-a lucrat cateva luni bune, cei trei dorindu-si ca acest album sa insemne o alta abordare a muzicii. Un album fierbinte care te va face sa dansezi nebuneste in ritmuri clubbing. ….. e senzatie, e visare, e dorinta, e pasiune……toate pe un ritm incitant. Primul single de pe album este piesa “Plang noptile”, piesa care este tot mai ceruta de ascultatori de radio iar in topurile de specialitate este in continua. Videoclipul piesei, semnat de Florin Botea, ne prezinta o alta Alexandra, mai dulce, mai feminina. Iar Radu si Sorin, cei doi printi din acasta poveste, au dovedit ca sunt nu doar talentati dar si foarte simpatici.

Dintr-o asemenea combinatie, tinerete, talent, gingasie, senzualitate nu putea sa iasa decat un lucru foarte bun….adica albumul CRUSH + ALEXANDRA UNGUREANU.

In anul 2007 cei trei au lansat un nou album numit “Hello” ce contine douaspreceze super piese de club indulcite de vocea calda a Alexandrei. In plus, surpriza vine de la colaborarea cu Marius Nedelcu de la Akcent pentru o piesa de exceptie. Toate cele trei single-uri de pe album “Inima mea“, “Cu tine in rai” si “Hello” au cucerit inimile publicului clasandu-se pe pozitii fruntase in topurile muzicale, ce a facut ca albumul sa fie recompensat cu DISCUL DE AUR.

Crush & Alexandra Ungureanu is one of the successful Romanian dance act. Their first single released in 2005 captured the audience with its new disco-club sound and romantic lyrics, reaching # 1 all over Romania.

Crush consists of two young producers, Radu and Sorin, whose passion is music. Crush was not their first project, as they have been in the music industry since 6 years ago being involved in another successful act. In 2004 they decided to produce their own project and started writing dance tracks for their new album. Their long-time friend Alexandra came to their studio one night and when she listened to the demos she fell in love on the spot with the project. This is how the trio was born. It took the guys more than three months of hard work to finish the album and the first single.

Radu Cernautan, born in 1981, discovered music at a early age when he was an Elvis Presley fan. At that time you couldn’t find in Romania any foreign language music and he was receiving music cassettes from his friends in Germany. Later the music was sent on CD and it included electronic, techno music and Radu discovered a new dimension of music. Then he started taking piano and guitar classes trying to find his way in music.

Sorin Seniuc was born in 1975 and he is a very calm and quiet guy. He started taking guitar lessons since he was 7 years old, later music becoming one of his passions, besides the game of chess which relaxes him. Sorin studied Electronics in Faculty but it was not exactly what he expected to do in life.

In 1994 Radu and Sorin met, becoming best friends as they shared a common interest in music. A few years later, in 1999, they formed together with other 3 guys a boy-band under the name of N5 which became famous in Romania, making their dreams come true. In 2001 they broke up, trying to find another way in life and music. Radu started his studies of Management at the Academy of Economic Science in Bucharest. At the same, together with Sorin they began writing and producing songs for Romanian artists.

Alexandra Ungureanu was born in a little town in Moldavia in 1981. Her parents noticed her talent and Alexandra began taking daily canto and piano lessons since she was six years old. She had famous Romanian composers writing songs for her, her repertoire becoming vaster almost every day.
She moved to Bucharest in the year 2000 to study Economics in Foreign Languages at the Academy of Economic Studies. She graduated in 2005 and she also has a master degree in Finance at the University of Orleans. At the same time she followed her dream of becoming a singer, at first being a part of a backing vocal band, then collaborating with important Romanian artist such as Sistem, Holograf or Morandi. Their collaborations always reached the no.1 spot in the charts, making her voice and name known to the public. It was the Eurovision national selection – where she came in third – that made her decide it was time to have her own act. After some months of soul searching and listening to new proposals from famous composers, she discovered long time friends Crush to have exactly what was right for her: new dance tracks with a special feeling.

And this collaboration was not to be regretted as their first single became a hit in short time, climbing to the top of the charts and staying there for more weeks in a row. Crush + Alexandra’s debut album was released in October 2005 as the dance album of the year, containing their first hit and many more to come.
This was new beginning for the three pals, with lots of concerts and fans all over Romania.

In anul 2004 a fost lansat albumul Motive, un album recompensat cu Discul de Aur pentru vanzari de peste 35.000 de unitati. Cele doua single-uri de pe acest album, „Doar cu tine” si „Visez” au ocupat locul intai in topurile de specialitate multe saptamani la rand, devansand hit-uri internationale. „Doar cu tine” si „Visez” au fost difuzate in heavy – rotation, luni la rand de radiouri iar videoclipurile au suprins prin veselie si nonconformism. Motive a reprezentat un moment de cotitura in viata trupei ACTIV, stilul lor evoluand dar pastrandu-si nota optimista si culoarea specifica tineretii.

Al doilea album lansat sub marca Roton a fost albumul SuperStar in septembrie 2005. Acest album, ce contine opt piese si patru remix-uri, este o declaratie a trupei ACTIV catre toti fanii lor. Primul single „SuperStar” a fost lansat la sfarsitul verii si beneficiaza de un videoclip ce surpinde veselia verii dar si povestea unei iubiri adolenscentine. La inceputul lunii decembrie a inceput difuzarea pe radio a noului single “Zile cu Tine”. Mesajul si ritmul pozitiv al piesei au avut un impact imediat asupra publicului, astfel incat chiar inainte de Craciun, Mosul ne-a adus si videoclipul “Zile cu tine”. Piesa „Zile cu tine” este in continua urcare in topurile de specialitate si se anunta un mare hit, in stilul ACTIV.

Rudi este un capricorn din Arad, student şi îndrăgostit de tot ce înseamnă muzică. E colecţionar înrăit de Matchbox (maşinuţe din fier), pasiune pe care o are de 18 ani. Tot pasiunea faţă de maşini (de data aceasta reale!) l-a facut să-şi aleaga şi viitoare meserie, el fiind student al Facultăţii de Mecanică (Universitatea Politehnica Timişoara). Între cele două vise al copilăriei (design-ul auto şi muzica) la ales pe cel de-al doilea, acesta fiind mai realizabil, deşi nici la design nu a renunţat de tot.

Oana, nascuta in mijlocul verii, e indragostita de soare. Un rac veritabil, a ales o cariera in Stiinte Eonomice; e studenta in Timisoara la Universitatea de Vest, insa proiectul Activ a acaparat-o cu totul, ocupandu-i tot timpul liber.
E o persoana extrem de activa, „si cand ies la plimbare merg repede. Intotdeauna parca ma grabesc undeva .”, si nu poate ramane mai mult de o ora in acelasi loc.
Albumul preferat al Oanei este Guns’N”Roses – „Spaghetti Incident” iar cele trei lucruri pe care le-ar lua pe o insula pustie sunt: Lip Stick –ul ,GSM si crema de fata.
„Sunt foarte sociabila, tratez pe toata lumea in acelasi fel, adica pornind de la ideea ca toti sunt persoane de calitate, pe care merita sa le cunosti”.

Avi, s-a nascut in Arad acum 25 de ani. E un Sagetator mai atipic, pentru ca spune ca nu se prea regaseste in caracteristicile zodiei lui. Studiaza electronica si telecomunicatii in cadrul Facultatii de Elecrtonica si telecomunicatii, Colegiul Multimedia.
Pentru ca lucreaza in radio Avi, asculta muzica in toate momentele importante din viata lui.

Avi and Rudi, the two producers that created ACTIV, have spent almost the entire high-school period together, DJ-ing for their school’s own radio station. Ever since, they have worked together for all the projects that involved one of them.

The first big project to include both of them has been Wetland, an underground project.

Activ has been created in 1999. The first single was “SUNETE” which won the Atomic TV “In Za House” award. The prize was the video for the track.

Their first album, also titled SUNETE, was released in 1999 and contained 2 hit singles; SUNETE and IN NOAPTE.

Their second album, IN TRANSA, got released in the spring of 2001. For this album they worked with Oana, who became the third member of the group. The singles released from this album were PRINTRE NORI and D C?

After the release of this album, the two DJs, Avi and Rudi, became famous for the remixes they made for other important Romanian artists like Cream, Voltaj, Emanuel and Hi-q. They have also worked on producing other artists’ albums, radio ads and jingles, 3D movie soundtracks, and so on.

Activ has been the opening act for concerts of Prezioso & Marvin, Fun Factory, Garcia, Talla 2XLC or Sylver.

In spring 2004 the group signed a new record deal with the no. 1 record company in Romania, Roton and released their third album, MOTIVE.

The sound of this album is much more commercial than their previous work and their look was completely changed. The first single is DOAR CU TINE, now the absolute no. 1 hit single in Romania for the year 2004, spending a massive 9 weeks on the no. 1 spot in the ROMANIAN TOP 100 SINGLES AIRPLAY. This means that they were no. 1 in all Romanian radio stations’ charts. And together with the 9th week spent on the no. 1 spot they have totally set a new record, the previous band which has spent more on the no. 1 spot in the ROMANIAN TOP 100 SINGLES AIRPLAY was Class, with only 7 weeks.

The follow-up single to DOAR CU TINE was VISEZ, another chart phenomenon, spending no less than 8 weeks at no. 1.

In spring 2005 Activ started working on new songs, to be released on a new album in the autumn of 2005. The album was titled “SUPERSTAR” and includes eight new dance tracks continuing what they have started one year earlier with superhits such as “SUPERSTAR”, “ZILE CU TINE” and “LUCRURI SIMPLE”, plus the LIBERTY PARADE ANTHEM from 2005 which was a huge club hit all over Romania.

Summer 2006 was a busy time for Activ as they were recording a new album and experiencing new sounds, also working on the new anthem for Liberty Parade 2006 together with DJ Optick, the song titled “Feel Good” that took over the dance charts for months.

Meanwhile Activ was also riding high in the European charts with “Doar cu tine” and “Visez” being hits in Poland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Bulgaria, etc, while their album “Motive” has been released in Poland including songs from the “Superstar” album too.

Back in Romania, “Reasons” was the first single off their latest album titled “Everyday”. A new sound that took over the clubs and radio waves brought Activ a new hit and a nation-wide sold-out tour in 2007. The second single off the new album is “Without U”.

As every summer, also in 2007 Activ have written together with Dj Optick the new anthem for the LIBERTY PARADE that will take place on the Black Sea Coast end of July. The song is titled “Music Is Driving Me Crazy”.

Povestea frumoasa, numita Akcent a început în anul 2001. Personajele principale ale povestii sunt: Adrian, Marius, Mihai si Sorin, patru tineri uniti de MUZICA.

Adrian Sana

Nascut sub semnul Berbecului, pe data de 18 aprilie 1977 in orasul Baia Mare, Adi pastreaza caracteristicile definitorii ale zodiei: adica perseverenta si pasiunea. Cel mai adanc inradacinata in viata lui este muzica, dealtfel acesta fiind motivul pentru care a lucrat ca DJ la un post de radio cu traditie (“Extrem de putine sunt momentele din zi in care nu ascult muzica si acelea mi se par cele mai nesuferite si lungi!”).

Muzica si actoria sunt cele doua mari pasiuni ale lui Adi, si se pare ca le impaca pe amandoua foarte bine. Student la ATF, sectia Actorie, Adi incearca sa petreaca cat mai mult timp la scoala, fiind un student ca oricare altul.

Mihai Gruia

Cand s-au lansat in muzica era boboc, in primul an la Spiru Haret, Jurnalism si Filosofie, si iata ca la lansarea celui mai nou album Akcent, e aproape om serios, jurnalist cu diploma in mana.

Mihai considera ca in viata sunt importante comunicarea si obiectivitatea. A practicat multe sporturi ca inot, rugby, judo si fotbal dar s-a lasat de toate, caci mama sa l-a convins sa-si inceapa cariera de model. Ajuns in trupa Akcent prin activitatile lui legate de modelling, Mihai a renuntat acum de tot la activitatile legate de catwalk, dedicandu-se total muzicii, din acelasi motiv a renuntat si la sporturile pe care le practica, facandu-si timp acum doar de exercitii de intretinere. Desi este cel mai tanar membru al grupului, stie sa discute despre aproape orice subiect cu aproape oricine. Din primele clipe in care il cunosti, te impresioneaza placut franchetea sa!

Sorin Brotnei

Este din Baia Mare si a venit in Bucuresti pentru a urma cursurile Facultatii de Arte Plastice (sectia Ceramica, Sticla & Metal!). O vreme a facut modelling si chiar ar fi putut face o cariera remarcabila, daca n-ar fi fost muzica. A reprezentat imaginea Radio 21. A facut prezentari pentru Doina Levinta, Pierre Cardin si a aparut in spoturi pentru Dialog si Sony. Crede in Dumnezeu si incearca sa citeasca din Biblie in fiecare seara!

Sorin se declara impatimit de muzica, filme,moda si fotografie.

Primul capitol a inceput cu succesul piesei « Ti-am promis » in iarna lui 2001 si a continuat cu aparitia albumului « In Culori » la inceputul anului 2002. Masura succesului albumului « În culori » a fost data de Discul de Aur primit la numai trei saptamâni dupa aparitia albumului, precum si a celui de Platina cateva luni mai tarziu. In acelasi timp, succesul Akcent a devenit un fenomen la nivel national, isteria fanilor demonstrand acest lucru. La toate acestea o contributie importanta a avut-o Marius Moga, compozitorul primelor hituri Akcent : « Ti-am promis », « Prima Iubire », « In culori » si « Cel mai dulce cadou ».

Urmatoarea parte a primului capitol a fost scrisa in 2003 odata cu lansarea celui de-al doilea album semnat Akcent, « 100 BPM », ce a demonstrat tuturor ca Akcent nu este o « trupa de-o vara ». « Buchet de trandafiri » a fost hitul ce a readus Akcent in fruntea clasamentelor si o intrebare din partea fanilor ce nu a ramas fara raspuns: De ce albumul se numeste « 100 BPM »? Pentru ca acesta este ritmul inimii în timpul unui sarut pasional si pentru ca acest album este o declaratie de dragoste. Din partea baietilor pentru fanii lor. Hitul « Suflet Pereche » o demonstreaza !

Povestea continua in 2004 cu un nou album ce aduce publicului o schimbare de stil muzical in piesele Akcent. « Poveste de viata » este numele albumului lansat in luna mai 2004 si aduce doua hituri : « Poveste de viata » si « Spune-mi (Hey Baby !) ».

In anul 2005 la povestea Akcent se adauga noi paragrafe, despre albumul « S.O.S. », al carui single « Dragoste de închiriat » a ocupat pozitii fruntase in topurile romanesti. Varianta în limba engleza a aceleiasi melodii, « Kylie », a dechis portile Europei pentru muzica celor patru baieti. Dupa debutul international al piesei din mijlocul verii cand Radio Slam FM din Olanda a prezentat-o ca fiind un viitor succes european, « Kylie » a ocupat primele pozitii în clasamentele din Olanda, Belgia, tarile Scandinave, Franta, Ucraina, Grecia, Turcia si Bulgaria.

Succesul international s-a materializat in anul 2006 pin primirea premiului BEST GROUP in cadrul MTV Music Awards, premiul fiindu-le inmanat de fetele de la Sugabebes

Succesul international, precum si dovezile de afectiune ale fanilor din România, i-au motivat pe baieti, astfel ca la inceputul anului 2006 apare PRIMUL CAPITOL, un album special ce marcheaza inca un moment important în istoria Akcent, primele piese compuse 100 % de componentii trupei : « JoKero » si « 9 Mai ». Succesul câstigat în tara si strainatate nu i-a facut sa isi piarda capul si au ramas în aceeasi componenta timp de cinci ani, uniti de dragostea pentru muzica si pentru fanii lor.

In anul 2007 Akcent au lansat un nou album “King of Disco”. “King Of Dico” a fost primul single lansat de pe acest album, videoclipul fiind un omagiu divei Madonna, regizorul incercand sa recreeze atmosfera catorva videoclipuri ale divei. Insasi Modaonna apare in videoclip, cu tinuta din videoclipul “Hung Up”. “King Of Disco” a fost taimp de cateva saptamani cea mai difuzata piesa de catre radiourile romanesti si incet incet a cucerit si restul Europei. Cele de-al doilea single lansat de pe acest album a fost “Let’s Just Talk About It”, o balada care vorbeste despre dragoste sivorbe nespuse la timp. Videoclipul, a reecreat atmosfera anilor ‘70 si a fost filmat la malul marii, in orasul Constanta. Filmarea a avut in mai multe locatii din Constanta, echipa fiind nevoita de cateva ori sa opreasca filmarea din cauza fanilor deslantuiti.
Akcent si-a petrecut aproape intreaga vara 2007 in Polonia avand numerose evenimente in intreaga tara si intalnindu-se cu fanii. In afara de Polonia, baietii de la Akcent au avut numeroase concerte in Rusia si nordul Europei.

Akcent se numara printre trupele cu cele mai multe accesari video pe youtube si cu cea mai accesata pagina myspace.

2008 a reprezentat un de schimbare pentru trupa Akcent; dupa sase DISCURI DE AUR si PLATINA, numerose hit-uri in Romania si in alte tari, albume lansate in Polonia, Rusia, Scandivia, etc, mii de concerte, fan cluburi in toata Europa, trupa a trecut printr-o schimbare majora in aprilie 2008 cad Marius a decis sa isi implineasca visul de a avea cariera solo.

Adi, Mihai, Marius si Sorin au fost de-a lungul anilor mai mult decat colegi de scena, ci prieteni, asa ca dorinta lui Marius de a avea o cariera solo a fost sustinuta de restul baietilor.

In Polonia, cateva concerte fusesera deja angajate, asa ca din respect pentru fani, trupa a decis sa coopeteze un nou membru, Corneliu, student la Academia de Film.

Pentru ca AKCENT inseamna un standard cei patru Adi, Corneliu, Mihai si Sorin au inceput sa lucreze in studio la un nou single. In acelasi timp au continut seria de concerte in Europa, Asia iar in august cand programul devenise mult prea incarcat, afectandu-i studiile, Corneliu a decis sa paraseasca trupa in favoarea carierei de actor.

Septembrie 2008 a insemnat un nou inceput pentru trupa Akcent care au lansat un nou album, single-urile alese sa il promoveze fiind “Lovers Cry” si “Stay With Me” ambele piese fiind inregistrate in studioul lui Adrian, impreuna cu Mihai si Sorin. Videoclipul primului single a fost filmat in Bucuresti in prima zi a lunii octombrie. Noul album intitulat “Fara Lacrimi” a fost lansat in 2009. Pentru noul album, din dorinta de a nu-si dezamagii fanii, cei trei au lucrat aproape un an. Albumul contine 12 piese, tema principala fiind dragostea in diverse fome asa ca titlul “Fara lacrimi” e oarecum natural, cei trei crezand in dragoste, in ei insisi, in fanii lor in prietenie.

Primul single “Stay With Me” a fost un suces enorm in Romania clasandu-se pe locul intai in Nielsn Airplay Chart, barometrul audientelor radio tv, timp de 4 saptamani. Cel de-al doilea single “That’s My Name” a fost lansat in martie 2009 si a fost unul din hit-urile verii.

Formed in 2001, Akcent is at the moment the number one boy band in Romania. Their debut album – In culori (In Bright Colours) – reached Gold and Platinum in a very short time from its release in January 2001.

In 2003 the boys make their big comeback with a new album: 100 BPM. The title of the album has a special meaning, as 100 BPM is the rhythm of the heart during a kiss. The first single from 100 BPM was Buchet de trandafiri (Rose Bouquet) and the next one being a ballad – Suflet pereche (Soul Mate).

2004 meant for Akcent the year that brought them a contract with Media Records Italy-the home of Gigi D’agostino. Their song Azi plang numai eu (I’m the only one crying today) is now on the very successful international compilation released by Gigi D’agostino called “Benessere”.

Their third album relased in Romania was also a success. The single Poveste de viata (Life story) reached high places in the charts.

Dragoste de inchiriat, the first single from their 2005 LP, has blown away Romanian charts. And hasn’t stopped at Romanian borders, but took over many European territories such as The Netherlands, France, Scandinavia, Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria with the English version, “Kylie”.

In more many countries on the continent new websites dedicated to Akcent were created by hundreds of fans. From Netherlands, Sweden, Ukraine, Germany, Finland, France, Spain and not only those, the fans can exchange opinions about Adi, Sorin, Marius and Mihai, even on the band’s official webpage.

The international debut album of Akcent was titled “French Kiss with Kylie”, included the hits “Kylie”, “JoKero” and “French Kiss” and was released all over Europe in the end of summer 2006. The album also included two ballads written by none other than Nicole Formescu, famous for the hits she wrote in the past for the boy super group Blue. Nicole visited Romania once again after many years to meet the guys and record “I Swear” and “4 Seasons In One Day”.

After conquering Europe, Akcent came back home to record new songs and were surprised to find out that they’ve won the “Best Group” award in MTV’s Romanian Music Awards 2006, the bigger surprise being the guest star who handed the award, namely none other than the three foxy girls of SUGABABES.

St Petersburg, Moscow and Siberia were one by one taken by storm by Akcent’s superhits late 2006, consequently the guys spending much time traveling around Russia and spending Christmas in beautiful Moscow.

Time to get back home and finish the recordings for a new album released early 2007, an album created as a tribute to disco music from the ‘80s. “King of disco” was the first single and title of the album, the video being shot in Bucharest and meant to be a tribute to Madonna’s “Open Your Heart” video. Madonna herself was portrayed in the video, with her “Hung Up” outfit. “King of disco” was the king of Romanian dance floors for several weeks and intoxicated fans all over Europe. The second single off this album was “Let’s Talk About It”, a mid-tempo track with lyrics speaking of relationships. The back-to-70’s video was shot in Romania’s biggest sea-side city, Constanta. The actual shooting took place in many locations and the entire filming crew was forced to stop the shootings for a couple of times due to insistent fans interfering. A few days later on youtube one could see many short movies made by fans from the actual filming of the video.
Akcent spent most of the 2007 summer in Poland with many gigs all over the country, meeting fans whom they talked to before via internet. Besides Poland, Akcent were also touring again in Russia and Northern Europe. MTV Russia even followed the guys for more days in order to shoot an all-Akcent documentary which they broadcasted several times due to fans’ demand.

Akcent is the Romanian band with the most watched videos on youtube and most accessed myspace page. Adi, Marius, Mihai and Sorin succeeded to conquer those who accessed the site www.youtube.com with the videos “Kylie”, “Fench Kiss” and “King of Disco”. “King of Disco” and “French Kiss” were both watched by more than one million viewers, “Kylie” being not far behind. On myspace Akcent gathered already more than 40.000 fans who accessed their page.

2008 represented a year of change for the most popular boy band from Romania. After six gold and platinum albums, several no 1 hits in Romania and other countries, more albums released in Poland, Russia, Scandinavia and more, thousands of concerts, fan clubs all around Europe, the band went through a major change in April 2008 when Marius decided to fulfill his dream to have a solo career.

More than colleagues, the four guys are very good friends so, Adi, Mihai and Sorin decided to encourage Marius in his decision of a solo career, but wanted also to continue the AKCENT dream started in 2001.

In Poland a few concerts were already booked, so in order to respect all their fans, the band decided to coop in the band a new member, Corneliu, student at the film academy and a former member of a Romanian boy-band.

Adi, Corneliu, Mihai and Sorin started to work hard in the studio on new songs to present the perfect single to their fans and not disappoint them. At the same time they continued with a full concert schedule in Europe and Asia and in August, as the schedule became too busy and was interfering with his studies, Corneliu decided to follow his acting dream and quit the band.

In September 2008, AKCENT was off to a new start with three members and a new album from which first singles were chosen, “Lovers Cry” and “Stay With Me”.

Both songs were recorded in Adrian’s own studio together with Mihai and Sorin. The video to the first single was shot in Bucharest in the first day of October. The new album called “FARA LACRMI’ was released in 2009. For the new album, Adi, Mihai ans Sorin worked in studio about one year. The album has twelve diferent tracks that talk about love in various forms, so it`s title is somehow natural “Fara Lacrimi/ Without tears” because the three of them believe in love, in them, in theirs fans, in friendship. The first single “Stay With Me” was a huge succes in Romania beeing no1 in Nilesen for four weeks.

‘That`s My Name” the second single was released in March 2009 and promises to be one of the HITS of summer 2009.

And so the beautiful story named AKCENT continues.

Dragostea pentru muzica i-a fost insuflata de parinti, in special de tatal sau, care este muzician. Parintii sunt un punct de echilibru in viata lui, in obiectivitatea lor Alex crezand cel mai tare.

Pasiunea pentru muzica si-a descoperit-o de mic dar in mod organizat Alex canta de la 9 ani iar la 11 ani a devenit elev al Palatului Copiilor. De la varsta de 16 ani, studiaza timp de 4 ani canto clasic. Alex se considera un mare norocos pentru ca are ca « meserie » ce iubeste mai mult in viata: muzica.

Un punct de sprijin in viata lui Alex sunt si prietenii sai, care il sustin neconditionat si il incurajeaza sa mearga mai departe. Unul dintre cei mai buni prieteni ii este Smiley cel care este producator alaturi de Marius Moga al albumului de debut semnat Alex « YAMASHA ». Alex isi demonstreaza polivalenta si dragostea pentru mai multe genuri muzicale si prin colaborarile pe care le-a avut pana acum: Anda Adam, Connect-R, Matteo, C.I.A, Sisu& Puya, Mandinga, Anna Lesko, etc.

Album sau de debut, care va fi lansat in aceasta toamna, « YAMASHA » se vrea si o declaratie din partea lui Alex : « Piesele acestea ma descopera in fata publicului… Asta sunt eu…Am incercat sa pun pe note ganduri, sentimente, trairi…YAMASHA ma reprezinta ». Pentru YAMASHA Alex a colaborat cu Smiley, Marius Moga, Connect- R, Mattteo, Don Baxter, Byga de la CIA, adica cu mare parte din prietenii sai. Rezultatul este un album de 10 piese, o combinatie de R&B, hip hop si pop.

Pentru primul single de pe album, piesa YAMASHA compusa de Marius Moga si Smiley, textul fiind semnat chiar de Alex., s-a filmat un videoclip in aceasta vara regia apartinandu-i unui alt bun prieten, Iulian Moga.

Filmarile au durat 16 ore, intreaga echipa suportand cu brio canicula si galagia facuta de cei care s-au adunat pentru a vedea ce se intampla la ei in cartier. Primele cadre s-au tras in Pasajul englezesc, intr-o atmosfera tipic sud-americana, personajele principale fiind Alex si Irina- protagonista telenovelei „Secretul Mariei”, de la Antena 1. Cei doi au trait o adevarata poveste de dragoste, de-a lungul celor 16 ore de filmare.

Urmatoarea locatie a fost subsolul Teatrului National, spatiul fiind invadat de peste o suta de oameni, figuranti si membrii echipei de filmare.
De la inregistrare nu au lipsit prietenii lui Alex: Marius Moga, Smiley, Connecte-R, Puya, Matteo si C.I.A, o trupa de baieti din Craiova, pe toti urmand sa-i vedem si in videoclip/

O data adunata intreaga gasca, petrecerea a inceput… pe bune. Lumea a uitat de camerele de filmat si de adevaratul motiv pentru care s-au adunat.

In toamna anului 2005 a fost lansat albumul de debut semnat ALEX, “Yamasha”.
Albumul de debut ALEX a fost unul dintre cele mai asteptate albume solo ale anului 2005, dupa ce acesta se remarcase prin cateva colaborari interesante. Cu YAMASHA Alex si-a purtat ascultatorii prin mai multe stiluri muzicale, dovedind ca poate canta cu usurinta atat R&B, cat si latino, hip hop dar si pop. Fiecare din cele 10 piese de pe album spun o poveste, o poveste de dragoste, la toate piesele Alex aducandu-si contributia atat la text cat si la muzicaCel de-al doilea single, “Dragoste la prima vedere” feat Connect-R a fost lansat la inceputul verii 2006 si foarte rapid a ajuns unul din hit-urile verii. Piesa este o frumoasa poveste de dragoste care incepe pe piesa lui Alex si se continua pe piesa bunului sau prieten Connect-R, “Daca dragostea dispare”. Succesul celor piese a fost intregit si de videoclipurile sub regia lui Florin Botea care au inregistrat mii de viztatori pe youtube si au fost difuzate in heavy rotation pe tv.
Toate cele trei single-uri, YAMASHA, DRAGOSTE LA PRIMA VEDERE si DOAMNA MEA, au ocupat primele pozitii in clasamentele de specialitate ale radiourilor si televiziunilor, dar si in inimile ascultatorilor astfel incat albumul a primit DISCUL DE AUR pentru vanzari.

La finalul anului 2008, Alex a lansat un nou single – DOAR EA. Single-ul ce combina beat-ul de club cu inflexiunile pop si R&B ale vocii lui Alex, a devenit in scurt timp preferata radiourilor si televizunilor muzicale, fiind cea mai difuzata piesa romaneasca cateva saptamani la rand.
DOAR EA, primul single de pe noul material Alex, a fost urmat in vara 2009 de un single mai provocator, piesa SECRET. DOAR EA si SECRET fac parte de pe cel de-al doilea album ALEX, material ce va fi lansat la inceputul anului 2009. Atentia acordata sound-ului si orchestratiei au demonstrat ca acest nou album inseamna o noua etapa, mai matura in cariera lui Alex. Noul material Alex poarta semnatura lui Smiley, producatorul sau muzical.

Piesele sale dinamice si cu un sound elaborat, dar si look-ul exotic au atras atentia si la nivel international, numerosi producatori manifestandu-si interesul pentru tanarul artist. Un alt atu cu care Alex si-a cucerit fanii este forma fizica de invidiat, fiind singurul artist roman care a avut doua coperti in cadrul unei reviste specializate pentru barbati.

If showmanship could take a human form, it would probably be Alex Velea. Seems like and exaggerated statement but the truth is that Alex is one of the most charming and captivating artists that Romania has to offer, and yes, he is a mindblowing showman.

In love with music as a child, Alex accomplished his life long dream of becoming a singer in the fall of 2005, when he released his debut album – YAMASHA. A statement about individuality, love and being true to yourself, the album went Gold after producing three amazing singles and chart-toppers: Yamasha, Dragoste la Prima Vedere and Doamna Mea.

The end of 2008 marked the release of a new single – Doar Ea. The song’s originality lies in mixing a clubbing beat with Alex’s manner of singing that has powerfull pop and R&B influences.

The next release was Secret, and it was no secret for anyone that Alex’s wave of succes wasn’t anywhere near stopping.
But even if his success is no secret for anyone, a few of his secrets together with some amazing tracks will be revealed on his upcoming album – Secret.

He recently released a new single “Don’t say it’s over”, acompanied by an amazing video. His leading lady in the video is none other than his leading lady in real life, his gorgeous fiance Ana. “Don’t say it’s over” will be without a doubt one oh the hottest songs of this summer.
