Convinsi ca pot reusi pe scena mare, isi schimba numele din Take five in Proconsul, si compun primele piese originale. Materialul care contine si piesele De la rusi…, Barosanu’ se bucura de succes imediat.

In 2000, cu piesa Cerul obtin locul 3 la festivalul de la Mamaia, sectiunea creatie.

Este o perioada in care lucrurile mergeau greu pentru formatie, ei fiind nevoiti sa vanda din instrumente pentru a putea ramane impreuna (acest moment a inspirat piesa „Fara prieteni”). Fara stirea colegilor, Dragos Dinca trimite piesa la preselectie la Mamaia si surprinzator pentru ei se si califica.

In acelasi an, apare albumul Tatuaj in care sunt incluse piesele Cerul, Fata cu tatuaj, De la Rusi.

Proconsul este prima trupa din Romania care castiga trofeul Cerbul de aur.

In anul 2001, Proconsul lanseaza un nou album: „Mi-ai luat inima”. Acest album a avut un succesc enorm cu singel-uri ca: Zbor, Mi-ai luat inima, Cerul, Despre tine, Spune-mi despre noi.

In 2002 Karcsi paraseste formatia, locul lui fiind luat de Florin Barbu, ex Blazzaj, Timpuri Noi. Primul concert in noua componenta a fost pe 1 Martie, la Pitesti.

In 2002, albumul „Mi-ai luat inima” se transforma in album de aur, datorita celor peste 50.000 unitati vandute. In acelasi an, impreuna cu copii Scolii Americane lanseaza single-ul „Mama Terra“, ocazie cu care se reediteaza albumul „Mi-ai luat inima” intr-o editie speciala, avand aceasta piesa bonus track.

In 2003 apare al patrulea produs „Proconsul 10 Povesti” iar single-ul „Nu mi-e bine fara tine” are un videoclip inedit.

Urmeaza apoi in 2004 albumul „5” care marcheaza cinci ani de Proconsul. Albumul contine numai piese de 5 stele ale celor cinci membrii.

In 2005 concertul „Balade.Pentru tine” sustinut la Teatrul National din Bucuresti se bucura de o mare apreciere a publicului.

Au urmat „Da mai departe” in 2007 si in 2009, „Sens unic”.

Din luna iunie a lui 2009, Proconsul il coopteaza la chitara bass pe James Alexander Lascu, un American la Bucuresti! Acum Proconsul inseamna : Robert Anghelescu (clape, voce), Bodo (voce), Dragos Dinca (chitara, voce), James Alexander Lascu (chitara bass), Valentin Petricenco (tobe) si Liuban Gordievski (clape).

2009 este un an plin pentru formatie. Baietii au lucrat la albumul “Sens Unic” pe care l-au lansat intr-un concert extraordinar pe 28 noiembrie la Sala Palatului, in care au pregatit si doua duete de exceptie cu Marcel Pavel si Dida Dragan. “Sens unic” face dovada maturitatii trupei, ajunsa la 10 ani de activitate. Albumul contine 10 piese deosebite, iar primul extras pe single este piesa “Sunt al tau“.

Multe premii si distinctii de genul Cel mai bun grup al anului, Cea mai buna piesa a anului, Cea mai buna voce masculina a anului, Cel mai bun basist…completeaza palmaresul trupei, dar cel mai pretios trofeu dintre toate este dragostea aratata de fanii lor in toti acesti ani.

In 1999, even if they were singing all together for a long time, they become well-known in Romania because of their maxi-single „From the russians…”

In 2000, they win the 3rd place at Mamaia Festival for their great hit: Cerul (The sky). In the same year, their first album, Tatoo, is realeased.

Proconsul is the first romanian group who wins the Golden Stag Trophee at Brasov, the most important festival in South-Eastern Europe.

In 2001 they had another great album, „You took my heart”. Until 2002 they sold over 50.000 units and Roton, their record company, gives them The Golden Disc Award.

In 2004 they release „Proconsul – 10 stories” and in 2005 the anniversary album „5” for 5 years of Proconsul.

In 2005, the concert from The National Theatre, „Balads.For you” was very appreciated by the fans and critics.

In 2007, they had another album, „Give forward” and 2009 was the year of „Unic sense”. They also gad a great concert in november even if there were some changes in the group. In june 2009, James Alexander Lascu became a member of Proconsul .Now, Proconsul means: Robert Anghelescu (keyboard, voice), Bodo (voice), Dragos Dinca (guitar, voice), James Alexander Lascu (bass), Valentin Petricenco (drums) si Liuban Gordievski (keyboard).

La sfarsitul anului 2008, Phelipe a filmat primul lui videoclip la piesa ” I Wanna Be I” . Alaturi de el in videoclip apar artisti ssi DJ-i consacrati, precum DJ Andi, Cristi Stanciu, Connect-R, regizorul Florin Botea si DJ Sava.

• Radu Bolfea , 24 de ani, a jurmat cursurile Liceului de Muzica si Arte Plastice Alba – Iulia timp de 12 ani . In acelasi timp a urmat cursuri de pian si chitara. In acest moment este student la Psihologie. Pentru Radu, muzica este mai mult decat un hobby ci un vis devenit realitate.

• Marcel Botezan, 23 de ani, nascut in Alba Iulia pe 14 august 1985. In acest moment este student al Facultatii de Psihologie din Constanta. Marcel defineste cheia succesului ca pe o combinatie intre de munca in echipa, rabdare si mult talent.

• Barac Sebastian Alexander, s-a nascut pe 15 aprilie 1984 la Sibbiu. Parintii sai mari iubitor de muzica, l-au incurajat de mic sa isi urmeze visele. LA varsta de 12 ani a urmat cursurile unei scoli de sport, mai tarziu devenind componet in echipa de handbal al scolii militare din Alba Iulia. La varsta de 19 ani s-a hotarat sa se implice mult mai mult in zona muzicala si a urmat cursurile Universitatii Hyperion din Bucuresti. Pe Sebi l-au atras inca de la inceput cursurile de percutie si chitara.

Baietii au colaborat cu diferite studiouri pana si-au infiintat propriul studio in Constanta. De aproape 4 ani, Play & Win au produs peste 200 piese. Cei trei compozitori si producatori, care au compus piese pentru trupe precum Akcent (co-producatori impreuna cu Akcent al hit-ului Kylie), Activ (albumul Superstar), Morris (Till the Morning Light) si multe altele, au lansat “In the Summer Time” ,primul lor single, anul trecut. Piesa a avut priza la public si s-a bucrat de succes atat in tara cat si peste hotare.

PLAY & WIN sunt producatorii din spatele celui mai mare succes al muzicii romanesti de pana acum – INNA “Hot”.

PLAY & WIN sunt activi si ca trupa. Dupa lansarea primului single, In The Summertime, toamna trecuta baietii au lansat un nou single,Slow Motion, o piesa care s-a auzit mult timp pe radiourile din tara.

With more than 200 songs to their credit it took PLAY & WIN just one hit to reach prominence. Worldwide. A little lady and some cheeky rhythms: Inna – the lady, HOT – the hit. Know what we’re talking about? They are indeed the hottest producers of the moment and the most in-demand. PLAY & WIN became so busy that even Beyonce would have a hard time trying to get an appointment with them. So let’s meet the boys: Radu Bolfea, Marcel Botezan and Sebastian Barac are the three that scared the disco and came to make the law in the club land. All university graduates they believe success is a team-work laced with good amounts of talent and patience. Rather than taking the conventional way and setting themselves up in Bucharest, PLAY & WIN chose Constanta as their base. Maybe because it’s sunnier there and the sea has an inspiring effect on them. Or maybe because it’s far from the madding crowd – thing that it is said does wonders to one’s inspiration. Nevertheless it proved the right choice and the hits soon started to make their way from their little studios onto radios, TVs and clubs. Before INNA came along PLAY & WIN already enjoyed pan-European success as the co-producers of Akcent’s hit single “Kylie” and they were also hot on the local stage working with and producing for 3 Sud Est, Activ or Morris.

PLAY & WIN are also recording artists in their own right. Their first single “In The Summertime”, helped by an animated video, proved so successful that it even got a release in Japan and the follow-up, aptly titled “Slow Motion” never left the airplay since its debut early in 2009. The boys are now working on their debut album.

So world, meet PLAY & WIN. A simple, ordinary story of three childhood friends ready to move mountains to achieve their dreams. Mountains are still there but they surely moved a hell lot of bodies all over the world. Things sometimes go so incredibly good.
