Mindcage is a DJ/Producer from Craiova, with a vast musical background. He studied music at “Marin Sorescu” Art School in his hometown during high school, where he played violin, viola, piano and was a member of the school choir.
He started his DJ career at the age of 18, and acknowledges that Barac (also a known DJ) was the one who taught him how to connect with the public and understand people’s needs, and how to built a set according to the ones who are in front of him. He has done this “exercise” for several months, before becoming a resident DJ in a club.
Since 2010 when he had his first release as a producer at Muzenga Records from Brazil, simultaneously launching an EP at Radio 21, he has worked at different labels from abroad. In Romania he had been linked to labels such as Magnetik Grooves, Cyclic Records, ARM Production.
In 2011 he is among the 10 most ascending DJ’s at Romanian Night Awards, followed in 2012 by the same performance in best resident DJ section.
Today, Quatro Vientos, made in collaboration with Andre Rizo, has reached over 2 million streams.
