Valeria Stoica is an indie artist born in the Republic of Moldova. Inspired by nature, simplicity and beauty, with the guitar on her hands, Valeria has only one goal, to bring emotion closer to the people.
Valeria started playing the guitar at 8 years old, when her father signed her up for music lessons. She discovered her voice when she was 16, after listening to international indie artists on Youtube and made her first cover – a Damien Rice song.
Nowadays, Valeria writes her own music, Her songs charted in Europe, the United States, and Romania. Her debut single, „Distante” and „Poate” proved very succesful in Romania, while her international releases, „Get Back”, „Just a Boy”, „Be My Friend” and „Empty Air”, managed to bring Valeria a large and loyal audience. In 2019, she performed at Electric Castle alongside some of the greatest names on the international scene: Florence and the Machine, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Vaccines and others. 2019 also saw Valeria open for Lucy Dacus in Dortmund and Jacob Lee in Bucharest.
In September of 2020, she launched her first album – „I Don’t Like Roses”, which tells the story of Valeria finding herself. The album is written entirely by her, with Vladimir Chopsticks serving as producer. It was licenced in territories such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia and Italy, where „Empty Air” charted on the Italian Billboard, is played frequently on MTV Italy, and is on heavy-rotation on various radio stations.
